Sr. Finance Analyst - San Juan, Puerto Rico

​Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly reporting package and analysis on Core Business Unit performance including volume/mix/rate and cause of change analysis.  Prepare key messages and bridges for leadership reviews that include meaningful business insights.
• Participate in financial planning process (Annual Operating Plan, monthly and quarterly plan updates, 3 yr Strategic Plan) by coordinating inputs from cross functional teammates and loading forecast data into financial planning software.
• Develop financial models for innovation projects.  Use metrics such as incremental sales and gross profit margin to recommend projects for go-forward consideration.
• Collaborate with sales strategy and marketing to develop financially responsible pricing architecture and promotional strategy for new products across channels.
• Support the Senior Manager of Supply Chain Finance as needed by providing data analytics.
• Conduct ad hoc analysis of profit by product, customer, channel, etc.  Provide the sales team with accurate data needed to make sound decisions on trade spend opportunities.
• On-going analysis and review of customer sales trends to identify gaps to plan and develop variance insights.  Make recommendations that drive business decisions.
• Deck preparation for Monthly Business Reviews and other meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Finance or other business related major
• 3 - 5 years of experience and practical exposure in some of the following areas: Financial Planning and Analysis, evaluating business performance, business trends, revenue and/or expense management, forecasting and budgeting, or accounting. Functional finance experience is a plus (e.g. Marketing, Sales, Operations, etc.)
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Demonstrated ability to take data and create a tangible story that resonates with non-financial audiences and drives action
• Ability to work independently to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills are required
• Presentation building skills
